Avances en investigación sobre actividad física en la salud de los trabajadores: un estudio bibliométrico

La relación entre ejercicio físico y salud laboral ha adquirido creciente relevancia en el ámbito científico debido al aumento de enfermedades crónicas y trastornos asociados al sedentarismo ocupacional. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis bibliométrico que permita mapear la evolución de la investigación sobre actividad física en la salud de los trabajadores, con el fin de identificar actores principales, redes de colaboración y las tendencias temáticas emergentes. Se realizó una búsqueda en la base de datos Scopus sin restricción temporal, recuperando un total de 551 documentos publicados entre 1952 y 2025. El análisis se desarrolló utilizando la herramienta Bibliometrix, mediante su interfaz Biblioshiny, para evaluar productividad científica, el impacto de las fuentes, visualizar las redes de colaboración y coocurrencia de términos, además de identificar las áreas temáticas recurrentes. Los resultados evidenciaron un crecimiento sostenido de la producción científica en los últimos años, liderada principalmente por países de alto ingreso como Estados Unidos, Japón y Alemania, así como por revistas de alta visibilidad dentro del ámbito médico y de la salud pública aplicada. Las tendencias temáticas mostraron una evolución desde enfoques centrados en ergonomía y capacidad laboral hacia líneas emergentes como salud mental ocupacional, prevención del sedentarismo, promoción de actividad física en espacios laborales y mejora de la calidad de vida. El campo presentó consolidación académica, diversificación temática y oportunidades de expansión hacia contextos laborales globalmente más inclusivos.
